![]() Nurturing tomorrow’s leaders: Forum FellowsThe Forum’s Fellows Program is an exceptional, year-long opportunity for senior undergraduate and graduate students to be part of the Forum community. Working closely with Forum staff, faculty and visiting scholars from around the world, they see how pressing health challenges can be solved creatively. During the academic year, while contributing to writing an evidence brief or evaluating the student-led dialogue and debate series, they can interact with health system stakeholders – concerned citizens, heads of medical associations, hospital CEOs, senior civil servants, and others. During the following summer, they intern on the front lines of healthcare decision-making, working at such organizations as the Ontario and federal governments or the World Health Organization (either Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland or one of its regional offices). Tailored to an individual Forum Fellow’s personal and professional development, he or she creates a work plan that advances the aims of the Forum and nurtures their development as a future leader. Some scholarship support will also be provided. Forum Fellows commit to participate actively in the Forum during the academic year (10 hours per week) and to complete a two- to three-month internship the following summer. The Forum issues a call for applications in February, with positions starting the following September. Call for applications for 2012-2013 Forum Fellows is now closed. |
