Forum moves into new venue in Mills LibrarySeptember 2, 2010 – The McMaster Health Forum is now conducting its work in a newly purpose-built venue at the core of the McMaster University campus, in Mills Library. The Forum’s new home on the fourth floor of Mills is uniquely designed to enhance its leadership role as a hub for harnessing information, convening stakeholders and preparing action-oriented leaders to meet pressing health issues creatively. The showpiece of the new area is the DialogueSpace, a multi-purpose, technology-enabled venue to support and facilitate collective problem-solving. This area will accommodate various types of programs, events and audience sizes, including stakeholder dialogues, public lectures, citizen panel meetings and the simulations course offered through the Forum. The Forum’s facilities also include the Hub, where visitors will be welcomed, an open concept area called the WorkSpace, and the multi-purpose BreakoutSpace directly off the DialogueSpace. The new venue has been made possible through a partnership with the University Library and its Lyons New Media Centre, and with the support of health system stakeholders, the University, and a member of the University’s Board of Governors, Suzanne B. Labarge. Contact details for the McMaster Health Forum are: |
